100G optical transmission network started to offer service

Recently, Telefonica Group, Mexico branch Movistar (Telefonica Mexico Movistar,TMM) and ZTE announced that the two sides built 100G optical transmission network started to offer service commercially.

The transmission network covers the three core cities of Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara to meet the high data traffic demand for the next 5 to 10 years, bringing the ultimate network experience to its users. As the second largest mobile operator in Mexico, TMM provides communication services to more than 25 million users. In recent years, with the large-scale deployment of 4G network and the rapid increase of bandwidth demand, the existing optical transmission network (TMM) has been under unprecedented pressure. The network uses ZTE's new generation of large cross capacity E-OTN equipment Zxone 9700, which uses multiple services unified crossover platform, flexible grid and Super 100G High modulation technology, the future can be directly expanded to 400G, to solve the OTN power cross capacity bottleneck.

GlobalData latest report shows that in the same equipment, ZTE E-OTN equipment ZXONE 9700 in the cross capacity, DWDM line card integration and other aspects of the industry is the first. As a pioneer in the field of 100G/100G+ innovation Technology, ZTE continues to make an important contribution to the development of optical network. At present, ZTE Global Optical network applications are more than 300 cases, and the construction of network fiber total length is more than 300,000 km. According to the latest market share data released by international famous consulting company Ovum, ZTE Network products in the second quarter of 2017 rolling four quarterly market share growth ranked the top ten manufacturers, optical network market share ranked the world's top two.
